Take Your Projects to New Heights with Eocene Environmental Group’s Comprehensive GIS & Drone Services.

Understanding the environmental features of your project site and its potential impact can help you to make informed decisions at the forefront. Our team of geographic information system (GIS) and drone (UAS) experts develop and use innovative tools to assist clients and agencies with more effective data. We present it in accessible ways, which informs better and faster decision-making.

We understand the complex requirements of resource mapping and are skilled at developing clear and attractive map products. Our primary purpose for gathering, analyzing, creating and sharing GIS and drone data is to prepare maps or otherwise support the permitting of projects.

We provide all these services in-house, which means that we can better control our schedules and provide better quality control of products and deliverables.

Geographic Information System (GIS)

Eocene’s GIS staff provides data inventory, analysis cartography and graphic design in a highly cost-effective and time-efficient program. We also offer sensitivity and opportunity/constraint mapping, metadata files and database storage.

We are accustomed to using existing GIS databases available from land and resource management agencies and providing GIS information obtained during a project back to the agencies.

Virtual Site Visits

Our team knows time constraints and logistical hurdles can make in-person site visits challenging at times. That’s where our team comes in to provide virtual site visits (VSV). By using an online interactive map developed by our team, you can inform key stakeholders of vital information at the click of a button and keep your project moving.

VSVs are typically used during the construction phase of projects where our team provides compliance inspection services. They allow us to quickly convey inspection reports for specific locations to managers with agencies, construction companies and/or project proponents. A VSV can also be part of the planning process for siting or permitting with large groups of stakeholders, allowing each to view and interact with the data.

Esri Web and Mobile Technology

Our team uses Esri web and mobile mapping technology (Survey123, Collector for ArcGIS, and ArcGIS API for JavaScript/WebApp Builder) to offer streamlined and efficient data collection and information delivery.

Field Data Collection

We configure Survey123 and Collector for ArcGIS to collect consistent, clean data in the field. This makes it readily available for project managers and stakeholders to view and analyze. They can also use it for planning, decision-making and facilitating weekly meetings on our interactive VSV web application.

Drone (UAS) Data Collection

Some projects require an aerial view for optimal performance. Driven by innovation and over a decade of drone experience, our team delivers best-in-class drone data collection.

Our drone technology collects 360-degree georeferenced imagery and videos that are posted to the VSV, allowing project managers to understand ground situations remotely. We have experience conducting these visual assessments for a wide variety of environmental, licensing, permitting and siting efforts on linear utility projects throughout the western United States.
