Tree Risk Assessment for Electric Utilities

Work with Eocene Environmental Group’s Qualified Tree Risk Assessment Team.

Through our Utility Vegetation Management Survey, we know that trees cause 22% of non-major event day outages and nearly half of all major event day outages across the United States’ distribution grid. Eocene Environmental Group conducts key systematic tree risk assessments to help ensure the reduction of electric service interruptions.

Just as your utility operation is unique, we know your property is as well. Assessing tree-related risks posed to overhead electric utility infrastructure and your property and reporting back our findings accurately and consistently allows the Eocene team to support utilities across North America in their risk mitigation practices. We follow International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) best management practices and are proud to have a team dedicated and specialized in the unique risks and challenges utilities face every day.

Our Assessment & Reporting Process

Eocene will identify, assess and prioritize vegetation that may pose an unacceptable level of risk to your assets. That might include structural damage, hanging, broken, damaged or dead limbs, leaning trees and exposed or weakened trees. Our tree risk assessments help utilities more accurately troubleshoot and address current and potential tree issues, as well as justify action being taken on those trees.

By working closely with all levels of the organization to develop customized mitigation solutions and strategies, you and your team can make informed decisions about the current state of your rights-of-way (ROW) and how to reduce at-risk trees to acceptable levels.
