Mike Lewis
Regional Manager
When it comes to his professional career, Mike Lewis has never shied away from new opportunities. As a regional manager for Eocene’s forestry and utility division, Mike’s goal is to help other employees feel empowered to do the same.
Mike attended Oklahoma State University and graduated with a degree in forestry. “I was drawn to forestry because I’ve always enjoyed being outside and understanding how the world works,” recalls Mike. “When I was in school, we really only talked about timber management and public land management, so working [in the UVM industry] was not on my radar.”
After working for a couple years in the industry, Mike came across a job posting for a consulting utility forester (CUF) position with CNUC, now our forestry and utility division. “I was really interested in the work, but what really drew me to accept the position was the time [the hiring supervisor] put into explaining it to me and just how friendly and supportive he was.” After starting in May 2019, Mike quickly learned that type of support was the standard at all levels of the company. “At other jobs, I did not feel the same kind of genuine support and appreciation that I did here,” says Mike.
After a year of working as a CUF, Mike moved into a regional supervisor role for three and a half years. From there, he became a safety manager in early 2024. Most recently in February 2026, another internal opportunity became available, and Mike moved into his current position as a regional manager.
“I really enjoy getting out in the field with our staff, learning about what they do and providing support, either through training or just by sharing my experiences with them,” Mike says. Eocene’s track record of growth and diversity of services also motivates Mike. “It presents a lot more opportunities for folks to grow within the company, and I’m excited to see how I can help people take advantage of that.”
In his spare time, Mike enjoys disc golf and spending time with his kids. “I have two daughters who are both in softball and I spend much of my time outside of work involved in their league as a coach and a field captain.”
