When temperatures begin to go down in the Midwest, and the use of heaters becomes necessary, it is best practice to have radon tests conducted. This recommendation comes from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) that all schools be tested for radon. After initial testing, many states require testing every five years.

It is recommended that testing be completed during normal occupied use of the buildings. Testing takes place in all occupied ground-contact rooms such as classrooms and offices. If a building is more than one-story, additional testing would occur in 10% of the upper level, occupied rooms, per floor.

Eocene’s radon measurement specialists are ready to assist with your project to ensure the safety of everyone who visits your building. We have a team dedicated to safety and industrial hygiene and our focus on radon testing is led by our Certified Industrial Hygienists (CIH) who are able to create a customized program that can ensure the safety and health of your visitors. We would be happy to speak with you about your testing needs, identify a timeline for completion, and provide a cost proposal.
