In October 2023, the Meat Institute confirmed and announced its 2024 Board of Directors. The Meat Institute supports the businesses processing meat and poultry, and their supplier partners, that sustainably nourish families around the world. It is the largest trade association representing processors of beef, pork, lamb, veal and poultry.

Senior vice president, sustainability Sara Crawford has joined the Meat Institute board of directors for its 2024 year. The board slate was approved during The Meat Institute’s annual meeting in October where they, alongside its board of directors, confirmed the 2024 officers. In addition, the board of directors approved the 2024 executive board and 2024 board of directors.

Crawford’s experience and connections throughout the supply chain bring a unique perspective and understanding of core points throughout the supply network. With an extensive background in agriculture, animal and meat sciences, and sustainability, her insight and executive leadership drives innovation for regenerative agriculture practices and food supply related industries.

“I’m thrilled and honored to be invited to become a member of the Meat Institute’s board of directors,” said Crawford. “It is an organization so important to our industry and one that truly has a strategic vision for the future. Not only am I excited for what I can bring to the table but also for the opportunity to learn from other members of the board and within the organization itself.”
